TrueU is a non-profit organization focused on leadership development in the workplace. With a three-part mission to grow, connect, and serve, trueU has grown to support more than 40 member companies in the last 2 years.
The inaugural convention, trueUnite, brought representatives from member companies together to learn, grow, and celebrate the personal development of individuals who had participated in trueU programming. The event brought more than 400 people together to listen to speakers share their experience of growth and self discovery.
Planning an event is never an easy task, and with trueUnite taking place mid-workday, it was important that everything run on schedule. TrueU wanted to cut back on printing agendas that would serve no purpose after the event. By working with App Press, trueU was able to build an app that can be repurposed for every event that they put on in years to come.
The app includes the event agenda, speaker bios, surveys, and social media to give users access to all of the important event information. Push notifications allowed attendees to receive updates and reminders throughout the day, which helped to keep everything on schedule.
